    January 2019

    A Note from Chris

I hope you all enjoyed celebrating the holidays with your families and friends and took some time to relax and reflect on all you accomplished in 2018. Now, it’s a new year! It’s time to refocus, plan, and prepare to tackle new challenges. This year, Corporate Central will be placing an emphasis on our efforts to be “forward-thinking,” in all areas including our monthly newsletter! Please watch for the Corporate Connection at the beginning of each month to find out what’s to come.

I look forward to seeing many of you later this month at The Wisconsin Credit Union League’s State GAC. I always enjoy listening in on all the amazing stories of how credit unions are helping people through in-school branches, financial education, charitable work, and community involvement. Remember, every voice matters! Wisconsin credit unions don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to share your unique and defining stories with legislators.

    Thank you,

    Chris's Signature

    Brian Nowak

Getting to know... Corporate Central's Brian Nowak

    1. Who was your favorite childhood actor/actress crush? Gwendolyn “Winnie” Cooper from the “Wonder Years.” We were the same age in those awkward, mid-teen years.
    2. What’s the craziest fashion trend you ever rocked? Yeah... I rocked a mullet with a tail.
    3. What was the first concert you ever went to? The hometown group... The Bodeans – at the Marcus Amphitheater. I had a blast!
    4. What’s something that people would be surprised to know about you? I am a cancer survivor. Hodgkin Lymphoma diagnosed in 2010. I have been clear since mid 2011.
    5. What do you like about working for Corporate Central? The staff are absolutely amazing. The family atmosphere is very welcoming and makes it very enjoyable to come to the office. While I have only been here for a short period of time, everyone acts like we have known each other for a long time.

    Big. Bright. Minds.

Malisha Yang, one of Corporate Central’s Member Services Representatives, crashed Filene’s signature event, big.bright.minds., in San Diego, CA. Content was focused around business strategy and development, marketing, talent attraction, consumer thinking, and technology.

“As a crasher, you get a firsthand look into the innerworkings of the movement, and your new goal is to stay there,” said Malisha. “One thing that the conference showed me was that there is no better time to be in the industry. That experience was invaluable.”

    Congratulations Chris Geisler
