    To Win Gen Z, Banking Providers Must Make Payments Seamless

    Gen Z consumers, and Millennials too, expect the buying experience to be fast and efficient. Financial institutions and the merchants they support need to rethink their approach to the payment process with consumers being the first touchpoint in the value chain, not the last. Otherwise, new options like Facebook's Libra and other global initiatives will gain traction.

    Feeling Short Staffed in Your IT Department? We Can Help!

    Another credit union has opted in to Emergifi’s IT management services. In the past, this credit union did not have the necessary resources available to hire a full time IT employee. The first business objective was to relieve the time-consuming burden on senior management to perform low value IT administrative tasks and troubleshooting responsibilities. Next, the board wanted management to partner with a dedicated credit union technology resource to oversee a cost-effective technology upgrade in cybersecurity, employee collaboration, and productivity, to ultimately better serve its nearly 3,000 members. Beginning this summer, Emergifi will provide the credit union the following services:

    • Standardization of software such as Microsoft Business 365, DNS hosting, and SSL certificates;
    • Cybersecurity services including next generation firewall, patch management and software updates, anti-virus, anti-malware, anti-ransomware, vulnerability scans and assessments, social engineering, and staff training;
    • Infrastructure as a service including managed switches, managed Wi-Fi, managed uninterruptible power supply (UPS), remote active monitoring and maintenance, and managed backup.

    Emergifi will also provide an option for service/help desk support, along with Virtual CIO consulting services.

    Addie’s Angels on Earth

    Corporate Central held an infant loss box drive in conjunction with Addie’s Angels on Earth, an organization that celebrates, remembers, and honors Addison Marie — daughter of one of our Member Services Representatives, Shannon Cate — who was stillborn on June 3, 2016.

    One in four pregnancies ends in a loss. Infant loss boxes are provided to parents leaving the hospital with their babies in their hearts, instead of in their arms. Donations included a new camera, angel bears, receiving blankets, stickers, ribbon, and other crafting supplies and were gifted to Aurora Women's Pavilion in West Allis, WI. While one cannot stop the heartache from the loss of a loved one, we can try to ease the pain and suffering and shed light on an otherwise dark subject.
