Like most credit union executives these days, you wear a lot of hats. You're busy beyond busy, and your needs are constantly changing - especially as balance sheets become more complicated and portfolios become more sophisticated. To complicate things further, you may not have the time, tools and training needed to keep risk and opportunity balanced for peak performance.

But...what if your credit union had an experienced partner that could:

    • Help maximize day-to-day balance sheet performance?
    • Do the never-ending math you don't have time to do?
    • Expertly adjust plans and projections as markets and goals change?
    • Run "what-if" scenarios and strategize for you?
    • Find opportunity on both sides of the balance sheet?
    • Build a balance sheet with muscle, flex and stamina?

    A Great Read

On the Acquisition Trail? Don’t Overlook Your Vendor Contracts
Acquisition continues to be a preferred strategy for financial institutions (FIs) seeking to gain economies of scale while also expanding service offerings and reach. Choosing the correct merger candidate usually centers on factors like strategic fit, market footprint and business integration. There is another less exciting but important factor to consider during these talks: vendor contracts which can cause costly, tactical headaches if not identified early in the process. However, if the contracts are assessed early enough in the acquisition process, an institution can reap benefits greater than expected through due diligence process.

    International Credit Union Day
As part of Corporate Central’s initiative to celebrate International Credit Union Day, during the month of October we held fundraising efforts to help support the Boys & Girls Club of the Greater Milwaukee Area along with the Next Door Books for Kids program. We are proud to say that our team pulled together to make generous contributions to both of these amazing organizations.

The Better Way to Manage Your Chargeback Returns to Save Time, Money and Staff Resources

Thursday, May 3, 2018 2:00 PM - 2:45 PM Central Time (CST) | Webinar

Deposit Returns Source Capture is a web-based platform that allows credit unions to receive electronic chargeback files and quickly make decisions on either redepositing those checks or returning them to members. This service can reduce a credit union’s chargeback return risk and save time and money.

This type of electronic product will gain additional importance when the Federal Reserve changes the treatment of chargeback returns with an upcoming change to Regulation CC. The rule change could significantly increase the liability for credit unions that do not accept electronic delivery of chargeback returns.
