2020 Virtual HR Workshop

There is no such thing as too much information when it comes to HR. That is why we are bringing it to the forefront with our virtual HR Workshop on August 13, 2020. This informative event will demonstrate how credit unions can enhance their employee-focused operations.

We teamed up with our partner, Vizo Financial Corporate Credit Union, to offer this workshop, where credit unions can come to explore disaster planning from an HR perspective and discuss our recent HR experiences as a group.

9:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. - Disaster Planning: Prepping for Disasters, Including a Possible Round II of the Coronavirus

Jay Kirschbaum J.D. and Suzanne Bach J.D. - Lockton

The shutdowns for dealing with the coronavirus pandemic caught employers off guard. Most disasters do. During this century, employers have had to face the 9-11 shutdown, and regionally all sorts of shutdowns due to earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, and even civil unrest. No single disaster is predictable, but what we can predict is that some unforeseen issue will interrupt the business.

What do employers need to do to prepare for these interruptions? Employers need plans that will help them keep their employees safe and better prepared to return to work as soon as possible. This session will provide an overview of general disaster planning preparedness and the HR and benefits issues to consider, with particular emphasis on lessons learned from the current pandemic, and how those lessons might prepare us if the pandemic returns in force this autumn or winter.
