    Are your members financially healthy?

Health is a word we think about every day. We think about our own health and the health of loved ones. How is health measured? We look at key indicators like blood pressure, blood sugar, BMI, cholesterol, and heart rate, for example. Our desire is for increased health.

What about our financial health? The financial health model created by the non-profit, Financial Health Network (formerly CFSI), offers four main pillars of financial health and under each pillar, there are two indicators. It is beautifully simple.

    Employee Benefit Resources

True or false? Self-funding health insurance can be an effective way to manage a company’s health care costs.

True! Self-funding typically offers more flexibility for the employer and the potential for better cost control. Vizo Financial, InterLutions’ newest business partner, delivers a powerful and educational video explaining how their transition to a self-funded insurance plan helps them control costs, analyze claims data, and deliver greater flexibility to their associates.

For more information about evaluating a self-funded insurance plan, and to hear about the benefits of a pooled and collaborative credit union employee benefits solution, please watch Vizo Financial’s HReady July 2019 video below.

    Never stop learning.

The SimpliCD program can help your credit union maximize profitability while simplifying cash flow management and recordkeeping processes. It is a pain free way to find the best CD rates for investing and follows a simple process for issuing CDs as a primary source of liquidity. If you missed our Simplify with SimpliCD webinar in July, you can watch the recorded session here.

Your credit union is meant to be a loan machine. How can you fuel that machine to better serve your members? Benchmarking helps credit unions define optimal investment strategies. It enables them to identify where investment decisions lead, lag, or remain at par with optimal portfolio performance. Benchmarking also provides the basis by which credit unions can judge investment options and helps identify which types of securities enhance their portfolios and which are no longer adding to their balance sheet’s performance. QuantyPhi will be hosting a 30-minute webinar on Wednesday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m. CT to explain how benchmarking can help your credit union’s investment portfolio and support your credit union’s ability to continue loaning to members. There is no cost to attend.
